Sometimes what makes a really memorable drumming session are the little social interactions and things that happen in the moment. A good example of this was when we recently ran a drumming session for the 204th  Guides group in Sheffield. The two girls you can see playing a bass drum in the photo were sisters. They started playfully bickering about who was going wrong with the rhythm. After some mediation, we all started chanting 'Don't- complain- to your-sis------don't-compain-to your-sis....' Outside the venue a man was eating fish and chips and someone said that they loved fish and chips.  So we started chanting 'Fishand-chips-----I-love-my-fishand-chips...'

We then converted these chants into drumming beats and when both these chants were played together a really funky African groove emerged!

Unbeatable Energy would like to thank Carol Jones who invited us to work with her group and to the guides themselves -their creativity resulted in a new groove being created in the moment!
